Volunteering

Volunteering

AMENDED DUE TO COVID-19 PROTOCOL. Please refer to the Family Handbook.

Volunteering at Aurora is a tradition that serves to build and sustain our community, model leadership and is an integral part of the Aurora experience. Research has shown that children do better academically and socially in schools where adult family member involvement is high.

Parents and families at Aurora School are strongly encouraged to be involved in all aspects of the school. One popular way to do that is to volunteer.

Minimum annual volunteer time commitment

To encourage family participation, we have a minimum annual volunteer requirement, which includes:

15 hours of Fundraising, Admissions and Marketing (FAM) and 15 hours of School Service (SS)

*The requirement for single parents and two-household families is 7.5 hours each of FAM and SS. Families may buy out of some or all of your required commitment at a cost of $25 per hour.
