Aurora School is well known for its July Theater Arts Camp with musical instrument building, set design and a rich mix of singing, dancing and acting. In addition, in June and August we offer Full Day Camps, full of arts and crafts, sports and games, plus lots more each week. All of our camps are open to both Aurora and non-Aurora students.

Online Registration will begin on Thursday, January 15. Campers can attend Camps at Aurora for the entire summer or for individual week-long sessions. Theater Arts Camp requires campers to sign-up for a minimum of three weeks.
Extended care is offered beginning at 8:00 am each day and again from the end of camp until 6:00 pm. The cost is $9.45 per hour charged in half hour increments. We offer a 15 minute grace period before camp begins and after camp ends at no charge. You will be billed for any time used at the end of each month. All children need to be signed in and out of camp or extended care by an authorized adult. Please enter through the playground gate. A check in table will be set up inside the playground.
You may choose to pay for your camp tuition either in full at the time of registration or with a monthly payment plan. Payment in full may be made via an electronic check withdrawal (e-check) or credit card. The monthly payment plan requires an automatic withdrawal from a bank account or credit card to be set up at registration. We will divide your payments into equal amounts for each month, charged on the 15th of each month, ending on June 15th. While your monthly payment amounts will be consistent, they will vary depending on when you register and the number of months left until June. Full details are on the registration site. Your camp tuition is refundable minus a processing fee ($25 for a full day camp session, and $50 for a theater camp session) up until 4 weeks before a session begins. At the 4 week mark your tuition becomes non-refundable.
Partial financial aid is available for some summer camps at Aurora School. If you are interested in applying for financial aid, please email the camp director, Josh Johnson or contact him by phone at (510) 428-2606 ext 208, before completing your online camp registration. A separate online Financial Aid Application must be submitted.

This is Josh’s sixth year at Aurora. He is a man of many hats coordinating the extended care, summer camp, and enrichment programs here. He comes from a long career in recreation in both camp and school settings, with nearly 20 years of experience. Plus, he’s a really nice guy.
