TechKnowHow: LEGO & Engineering Camps

Session One: Week of June 17 – 21, 2024

LEGO® Minions in Motion
June 17 – 21, 2024 | 9:00 am – 3:30 pm | $535 | ages 5 – 8

Develop LEGO skills as you build unique, motor-powered vehicles, just perfect for Minion mischief! Use gears, battery packs and motors to make a rocket car, running dinosaur, super cycle, water cruiser, and more! You will also learn how to make LEGO devices with sensors that you can attach to a computer to control on-screen action. You’ll make steering wheels, levers, and joysticks and learn how you can use LEGO robotics elements to create interactive experiences! Bring your own lunch, snacks and beverage.

Minecraft and LEGO® Big Builders
June 17 – 21, 2024 | 9:00 am – 3:30 pm | $535 | ages 6 – 9

Perfect for campers who love LEGOs and Minecraft! Every day starts with a motorized LEGO build ranging from friendly Wolf pets to flying Phantoms and troublesome Spiders and Endermen. In the afternoon, students use Minecraft’s block-based building and Redstone engineering to make amazing creations like a solar-powered home, lava farm, TNT cannon, a giant bee house and more! Perfect for Minecraft newcomers but will challenge experienced players with new ideas and designs. Bring your own lunch, snacks and beverage.

Girls Tech Camp: LEGO® and Coding
June 17 – 21, 2024 | 9:00 am – 3:30 pm | $535 | ages 7 – 11

Led by female instructors, this camp develops your coding and LEGO engineering skills through exciting projects and game-making. Create motorized projects including LEGO animals, vehicles, fantasy creatures and more, each one new for this summer. Then, make games by coding with Scratch, the world’s most popular intro programming software. Scratch uses code blocks to easily control all the elements of your games – from character movement to score-keeping. You’ll design 3 games while learning the fundamentals of coding logic and use of loops and if-then events. Take home your games to play on a computer. Bring your own lunch, snacks and beverage.

LEGO® Robot Olympics & Game Design
June 17 – 21, 2024 | 9:00 am – 3:30 pm | $535 | ages 8 – 12

Get ready for fast-paced robot action! You’ll build and program LEGO EV3 robots to perform tasks such as arena contests, ball launching, maze races and hungry-hippos style games! You’ll learn to program motors and sensors to play and complete the missions. Design attachments to level up your bots! Plus, learn coding skills with Scratch, as we spend afternoons designing a variety of robot and drone-themed games, using code blocks to maneuver craft, fight off waves of alien bots, and more! Bring your own lunch, snacks and beverage.
